Most of us were not taught how our body AND mind work in the water - even if we were taught the swim strokes. Even more: we were not taught how water itself works.
Some of us didn't have access to a pool or lake where we could have learned as kids.
For many of us, our parents weren't the best role models either...because they didn't know or were too scared to be in the water to begin with to teach us.
And to add to it?
Many say that swimming is easy so just get in the water and do it already!
If the thought of jumping in the water, submerging, putting your face in the water or going to the deep end of the pool makes you freeze or your heart beat faster - these are all signs that you're living in a state of aquatic anxiety and dysregulation.
There is so much we have no control over and there's tons of knowledge
we haven't had access to...up until now.

And just like you, I’ve also had my share of challenges in the water.
I was 19 when I first realized that despite the fact that I was a competitive swimmer for over a decade at that time, I was afraid of open water. I’ve never had that experience before even though I swam in lakes so it struck me to say the least.
One evening - while sitting on the beach in Italy - I found myself focusing on the noise of the waves and how it made me feel really uncomfortable. I felt like it would swallow me and I would drown.
I tried taking deep breaths and letting it go knowing that I’m a good swimmer and I’d be safe in the water but it didn’t help. I had to get up and leave.
Then a year later, in Croatia I jumped in the Adriatic sea from a boat to get my favorite hat back. While I was waiting for the boat to turn back and get me, I looked around and all of a sudden I felt an immense fear of getting swallowed by the water. The boat got back within a short time and I was back onboard. I didn’t say a thing to anyone because I thought how could a swimmer feel scared in the water - so, I just hid my fear.
Everything turned around when - years later - I learned a technique to find the root cause of any type of water related fear and release it at a deep level. I was finally able to break free from my anxiety around big waves and deep, open water. And now:
The program and most modules are designed to complete outside of the water because learning is hard in an uncomfortable environment. Some modules towards the end of the program will give you the choice to get in the water and while this benefits your learning curve, it's totally up to you whether you'll do it or not.
This program is designed to help you find and release the root cause of your water related fear & anxiety and to teach you tools to make sure that you feel calm & comfortable in the water.
